I didn't agree with the South in this story, even though the story makes them look good. I think Farquhar was foolish to risk it all when he had everything he already needed to live.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Jonas, honestly Farquhar was just doing a humanly thing, he knew if he did it he would be praised and get attention.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Hanna and Jonas one hundred percent. Personally, I didn't enjoy the story. I thought it was interesting and very well written, but I love happy endings, so in this case the ending sealed the deal for me.
ReplyDeleteI didn't sympathize with Fahrquhar because it seemed he was just helping his side to bring glory to himself. I didn't enjoy this about the story.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny how most of us if not all have mentioned Fahrquhar's pride in trying to burn down the bridge. I think the author wanted to make his pride very clear!
